Who We Are

Coming from all walks of life and with a tremendous depth of industry and senior management experience in a variety of industries, our team of HR professionals are straight talking, HR boffins! 

We love what we do – making a difference by helping business leaders build, repair and grow amazing teams.

Our team love getting into the nitty gritty (when necessary) and sorting out compliance issues as much as helping set a business up for success by making sure they have the legal requirement boxes ticked. 

But most importantly, it is about the people within the business and how we can develop and support an engaged, resilient and motivated team that will underpin business success.

It might be rebuilding a team after a turbulent period or maybe managing some difficult behaviour. Perhaps it’s developing a succession plan or addressing retention issues. When it comes to the people in your business, we’re here to help!

Deborah Peppard

Director

Deb has done it all with senior management roles in industries ranging from international travel to homewares and everything in between.  Her true passion though was brought to life when she could help workplaces navigate their way through challenging situations while building engaged and successful teams and so she founded  HR Staff n' Stuff in 2008.  Deb has helped a huge array of businesses with their people stuff ever since whether it's getting the basics such as contracts and policies in place or working though a strategic development plan that supports growth, developing extraordinary leaders, training and development for teams of all sizes and abilities, mentoring, DiSC workshops, succession plans...  You name it, Deb's done it with a smile and a practical, down to earth approach.  

Outside of her time spent building exceptional teams, Deb wants to live in a world filled with puppies, baby goats in pyjamas, chocolate and free round the world airline tickets so she can continue to explore more of this big wide world with her wife and friends!

Danielle Stone

HR Professional

Got a challenging HR conundrum?  Maybe you need to restructure with an eye on efficiencies, productivity and profitability - Dani will get it done for you!  Bringing a wealth of experience in strategic human resources planning and management, accreditation in Workplace Drug and Alcohol testing EBAs, OH&S and so much more - Dani brings the whole enchilada and can support you no matter what your HR needs may be.

Danielle is trying to make it through parenting  with her sanity intact!  She regularly indulges her love of music attending concerts and gigs of all shapes and sizes and slips in some travel when she can as she continues exploring the world with her family.   Need to know where the best Vietnamese pork rolls can be found?  Dani is your go to!

Sophie Evans

HR Professional

Sophie is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to all aspects of people management and HR, including recruitment, coaching, training, team building, performance and issues management, investigations and conflict resolution.  Backed by experiences in the photographic retail and production businesses, Sophie is also our resident expert in Lean and 5S processes and has helped businesses spot new opportunities and improve efficiencies.  Sophie is incredible at creating highly engaged teams along with training and developing new leaders delivering HR support with a side order of humour and fun.

Sophie begrudgingly accepts that enjoying the finer things in life means she needs to work it off at the gym but she does fantasise about guilt free wine! She is the Queen when it comes to fancy dress ensembles and can also be found loudly and passionately barracking for the mighty Tiges!

Kirsty Smith

HR Professional

Leading the way in our Perth office is Kirsty who has done it all when it comes to senior operations in the fast-paced world of fashion.  Wholesale, retail, warehousing and distribution - she ticks all the boxes and then some.  Kirsty has a rich history when it comes to the development and improvement of organisational initiatives and has left her mark across a variety of industries and disciplines with her specialist project management skills being just one of her many incredible professional attributes.  Our Kirsty sure does love a good project, especially when there’s detail and data to dig into!

Projects feature outside of work too.  Being a foodie, Kirsty spends time honing her baking skills and she has a keen interest in the arts, cross-stitch, weaving, knitting, baking, preserving and knife-making (for real) to name a few. But her favourite projects are her partner, daughter and their fur babies Billy Baxter and Finnigan.

Susan Humphries

HR Professional

Susan comes with all the experience and a cherry on top.  As an integral member of senior management teams with an interest in organisational culture and employee engagement and productivity, Susan knows how to implement processes that deliver positive employee experiences from recruitment, through to performance, development, rewards and recognition and on to talent mapping and succession planning.  Investigations that deliver an outcome are right in Susan's wheelhouse too.  

Outside of the HR world, Susan can often be found celebrating life with her husband, family and friends… and a glass of wine.  She loves a weekend away camping and exploring or simply getting lost in the pages of a good book.  Susan dreams of a world where the only thing that’s infectious is laughter and you can only be killed by kindness!

Jacqui Antoniou

HR Advisor & Recruitment Specialist

Need to recruit a superstar?  You need Jacqui on your side!  With a career that covers retail store and area management as well as leadership roles in wholesaling and customer service departments, Jacqui has her finger on the pulse when it comes to understanding people and finding the right one to suit your team.  In between finding superstars for our rich tapestry of clients, Jacqui loves nothing more than helping our clients sort through complex award issues, helping them get their policies in shape, creating robust employment contracts and assisting with a wide range of employment queries and concerns.

Jacqui is our queen of clean, teaching us all about the benefits of a clutter free life (and desk).  Dance music keeps her young and fit, her family is her world and we're pretty sure she is keeping Mimco in business all on her own!

Kim Petana

Recruitment Specialist & Admin Officer

Kim has a knack for drawing out information from candidates during an interview that is without parallel meaning she is a champion when it comes to finding THE person to fit your business.  Drawing on years of experience in the fashion retail industry in local, area and regional management along with leadership roles in sales and training in the field of healthcare , Kim understands just what our clients need when it comes to discovering that special someone to slot into their team and fill that skills gap or build a growing and talented team.   Kim can also assist you with advice on all of your people issues….  Kim is also the supreme being when it comes to organising and wrapping the team birthday presents and our internal team events!

Kim ups the elegance quotient in the office and will always be found in various shades of black or black.  Her family is her absolute focus and in a home full of boys, Glasshouse candles are her guilty pleasure along with her incredible collection of dangly earrings!

Kari McCormack

Marketing & Communications

With experience in operations and marketing in the hectic world of film distribution before turning everything on its head and moving to the world of small business and natural therapies, Kari brings a range of business, marketing and people management experience of all shapes and sizes to the HR Staff n' Stuff table.  While Kari's primary focus is delivering on all our marketing and comms needs (is everyone reading our blogs??), her side gig is HR Advisor and she loves the variety these two roles deliver.

Kari's ambitions of being a vampire slayer may never come to fruition, but she is extremely happy living life with her family and her enormous dog (think small horse).
